Our Friends and Family clients are elderly and disabled adults that can no longer drive. Once you sign up for this position the Program Manager will reach out to you with times and days that seniors need rides.
As a volunteer, you will
- Transport clients for nonemergency medical appointments in Grapevine or Southlake
- Routine doctor visits
- Physical Therapy appointments
- Routine dentistry appointments
- *Transport clients up to 7 miles for all other requests
- Essential Errands
- Shopping
- Salon Appointments
- Community activities

- Volunteers pick up at the curb and drop off at the curb
- Volunteers accompany clients inside during shopping trips (typically 1 hour)
- Volunteers do not accompany clients into medical or dental appointments
- Typically, a round trip for a client's medical or dental appointment takes approximately 1hour
- Medical and dental appointments typically require 2 drivers, one to drop off and one to pick up if a round-trip driver is not available. This is a “curb to curb” service
