The Food Pantry is a self-select style allows families to shop for perishable and nonperishable food including fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy products, and bread. The pantry remains stocked with items that are provided by in-kind donations, the GRACE Community Garden, and an active partnership with the Tarrant Area Food Bank.  

Volunteers at the front end are primarily responsible for greeting shoppers, helping them navigate the pantry, and helping with checkout.

The Pantry Refrigerator Sorter and Stocker is responsible for keeping pantry refrigerators and food storage areas clean, organized, properly stocked, and easy to access. This position ensures food and beverage items are sorted correctly, stored according to safety and freshness standards, and replenished as needed. This position works primarily in pantry, refrigerator, and food-storage areas. The employee may be exposed to cold temperatures while working inside refrigerators and may need to handle boxes, food containers, and other supplies.

The Pantry Freezer Sorter and Stocker is responsible for keeping pantry freezer and food storage areas clean, organized, properly stocked, and easy to access. Must be 21+

Must wear any RED shirt you have available

Assist with gathering and loading food from the convenience store convention at the Gaylord. Then return to the GRACE Food Pantry to unload, sort, and stock, if time allows, until 5 pm.

Plant winter squash.  Remove spent crops, apply manure and/or finished compost. Replant where needed.   Weed and mulch.

Plant cabbage.  Turn compost bins, add leaves.  Weed and mulch.

Pull weeds and spent crops

Drivers help support GRACE programs and are entrusted with the important responsibility of safely picking up, transporting, and delivering food, donations, and supplies.

Driver Requirements

 Age 21+

Complete a Galaxy Volunteer Profile.

Sign the GRACE Conduct & Safety Agreement and additional waivers.

Pass a background check.

Submit a valid Texas Driver’s License.

Submit proof of current automobile insurance.

Submit to a review of your driving record.

Complete and pass a urine drug screening.

Be able to safely climb into and out of a GRACE truck.

Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Be able to operate a pallet jack and/or forklift, as required.

Pass a road test conducted by GRACE.

Riders help support GRACE programs and are entrusted with the important responsibility of helping drivers safely pick up, transport, and deliver food, donations, and supplies.

Driver Requirements

 Age 18+

Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Be able to operate a pallet jack and/or forklift, as required.
