The Food Pantry is a self-select style allows families to shop for perishable and nonperishable food including fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy products, and bread. The pantry remains stocked with items that are provided by in-kind donations, the GRACE Community Garden, and an active partnership with the Tarrant Area Food Bank.  

Volunteers assist behind the scenes receiving donations, sorting, organizing, pricing, shelving and stocking.

Feed Our Kids (FOK) provides approximately 32,000 lunches each year to children in the Grapevine–Colleyville Independent School District. Every one of you helps fill those “hungry” summer weeks with lunches, drinks, exercise, activities, smiles, and a loving atmosphere.

Volunteers will serve lunches and engage children through fun activities.

All proceeds from the store directly benefit GRACE programs, which provide food, clothing, and emergency assistance to those in need. The store offers a variety of high-quality items, including clothes, shoes, housewares, furniture, and more, all priced below retail. GRACEful Buys is located on E Northwest Highway in Grapevine and has an outlet store at GRACE Donation Station.

Volunteers play a crucial role in supplying support to store staff by assisting with day-to-day operations.  Duties include:

·         Accept walk-in donations from donors

·         Receive and process shipments including hanging clothing and stocking shelves

·         Assist cashier

·         Moving items from the backlot

·         Routine cleaning and upkeep

·         Help with other needs

Volunteers will help drive or ride along in the Pantry trucks for pickups and deliveries.

Requirements:

We deliver groceries to our clients on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, and we need volunteers to help us make reminder phone calls to our Seniors. You will be provided with 6-10 names, phone numbers and a "script" for the calls. Calls can be made at your convenience but must be completed by the Monday before commodity delivery.  Those fluent in Spanish would receive the Spanish speaking names and numbers.

Our Friends and Family clients are elderly and disabled adults that can no longer drive. Once you sign up for this position the Program Manager will reach out to you with times and days that seniors need rides.

As a volunteer, you will

A phone call can go a long way. Friends and Family Caring Calls pairs our clients with volunteers for weekly phone conversations filled with stories, interest and laughter. It's a fun way for our seniors to stay connected one call at a time. Weekly calls are intended to last about 15-20 minutes. 

Donation Station is our drive through drop-off site where all community donations are processed. Donations are sorted to first meet GRACE client needs and the rest being prepared to stock our resale stores.  With up to 300 cars pulling through each day, our volunteer team makes sure we can turn around these donations as quickly as possible.

Volunteers assist with:

·         Unloading donations from vehicles

·         Assisting donors with receipting

·         Sorting items by category

·         Testing electronic equipment and other items

·         Pricing and scanning

·         Item inspection for safety and ready to sell

·         Facility upkeep

·         Other duties as needed
